Diagnosis. Males of Scytodes vassununga   n.sp. are distinguished from those of the remaining Neotropical Scytodes   by the retrolateral fold of the distal area of the bulb ( Fig. 82 View FIGURES 74 – 85. 74 – 79 ). The females are distinguished by the apical constriction of the slightly globose hyaline pockets and by the apical position of the slender sclerotized areas ( Fig. 85 View FIGURES 74 – 85. 74 – 79 ).

Abdomen 1.7 long, 1.6 wide, covered with slender hairs.

Female (Paratype, IBSP 92318). Coloration pattern as in male. Total length 5.4. Carapace domed, 1.7 long, 2.2 wide. Eye diameters: PME 0.16, ALE 0.14, PLE 0.14. Lateral eyes on a tubercle. Chelicerae as in male. Labium 0.20 long, 0.30 wide. Sternum 1.2 long, 1.0 wide. Vulva with small, globose spermathecae on long, narrow stalks, anterior to slightly globose and medially constricted hyaline pockets ( Fig. 85 View FIGURES 74 – 85. 74 – 79 ).
