Original material: Herb. Burser XVIII(1): 6 ( UPS) ; Herb. Clifford: 347, Malva 7 ( BM) ; [icon] in Dodoëns, Stirp. Hist. Pempt., ed. 2: 654, 653. 1616.

Current name: Malva crispa (L.) L. ( Malvaceae ).

Note: Fryxell (in Syst. Bot. Monogr. 25: 275. 1988) indicated 870.27 (LINN) as holotype, with an isotype at S (presumably sheet 286.7). However, neither of these collections appears to have been in Linnaeus’ possession in 1753, and they are not original material for the name.
