Diagnosis. SIF = 4B-B-3-2000.0000; fPp = B/B/NNB; fCx = 1.1.1; fSt = 2.2; fSc: PL> AM> AL; Ip = 580–679; fD = 2H-(8–9)-(8–12)-(7–11)-(7–13)-…; DS = 50–58; VS = 44–64; NDV = 95–122. Standard measurements of specimens from the comparative material ( Russia: Krasnodarskiy Krai) are given in Table 30.
Type material (not examined). Holotype of Schoutedenichia anatolica was not designated, type material was deposited in IZUG. Type locality is Bergama in Turkey (İzmir Prov.) . Holotype of Kayella vercammeni is deposited in ZISB; type locality is Stara-Zagora in Bulgaria . Syntypes of S. pallidula are deposited in ZMMU; type locality is Koktebel’ in Ukraine (Crimea) . Holotype and paratypes of S. abharica are deposited in ZMMU; type locality is Ajami (37° 28' 56" N, 47° 12' 54" E) in Iran (East Azerbaijan Prov.) GoogleMaps .
Comparative material examined. 27 larvae (ZISP) ex Apodemus ponticus , RUSSIA: Krasnodarskiy Krai , 6 km S from Sukko, 44° 44' 22" N, 37° 24' 54" E, 5–50 m a.s.l., relic juniper grove and deciduous forest (oak, hornbeam) near sea shore, 4–12 July 1992, coll. AAS GoogleMaps ; 25 larvae (ZISP) ex A. ponticus , ibidem, Vodopadnaya gorge, 44° 44' 53" N, 37° 24' 25" E, 30 m a.s.l., deciduous forest (oak, hornbeam) near the stream, 13 July 1992, coll. A.V. Bochkov and AAS GoogleMaps .
Hosts. Mus musculus L., Apodemus agrarius (Pallas) , A. sylvaticus (L.), Meriones persicus (Blanford) , Crocidura russula (Hermann) plus Apodemus ponticus (Sviridenko) .
Distribution. Switzerland, Bulgaria, Romania, Ukraine, Turkey, Iran. Previous record in Turkey: Bergama ( Kepka 1962). This species is here recorded in Russia (Krasnodarskiy Krai) for the first time.
