Diagnosis. SIF = 7BS-B-3-3111.1000; fPp = B/B/NBB, B/B/BBB; fCx = 1.1.1; fSt = 2.2; fSc: PL> AM> AL (rarely AL> AM); Ip = 862–1046; fD = 2H-(6–11)-(5–10)-(5–10)-(3–11)-…, typical variant 2H-8-6-6-4-6-2; DS = 29–48; VS = 27–47; NDV = 60–90. Standard measurements of specimens from Turkey are given in Table 16.
Type material deposition. Holotype and paratypes are deposited in ZISP.
Type material examined. Holotype (6510, T-Tr.-15) and 11 paratypes larvae ex Apodemus ponticus and A. uralensis , RUSSIA: Krasnodarskiy Krai, 5.5 km NW from Sadovoye, Malaya Sobachka river, 44° 25' 16" N, 39° 05' 51" E, 200 m a.s.l., forest (maple and hornbeam), 24 August 2000, coll. AAS; 2 paratypes larvae (ZISP) ex A. ponticus , ibidem, 1.9 km SEE from Sadovoye, S from Chinary railway station, 44° 22' 47" N, 39° 11' 31" E, 175 m a.s.l., forest (hornbeam, alder, and maple), 26 August 2000, coll. AAS; 1 paratype larva (ZISP) ex Microtus daghestanicus , ibidem, 3 km S from Goryachy Klyuch, near Dolina Ocharovaniya railway station, 44° 35' 36" N, 39° 05' 58" E, 135 m a.s.l., forest (oak, hornbeam, and maple), 23 August 2000, coll. AAS; 20 paratypes larvae (ZISP) ex Apodemus (Sylvaemus) sp., ibidem, 0.5 km N from Anastasievka, 44° 10' 48" N, 39° 17' 12" E, 145 m a.s.l., hornbeam forest, 23 August 1994, coll. AAS.
Material from Turkey examined. Four larvae (ZISP) ex Apodemus flavicollis , Çanakkale Prov., 3.8 km SW from Ayvacik , 340 m a.s.l., 12 October 1969 , coll. M. Daniel; 2 larvae (ZISP) ex Apodemus (Sylvaemus) sp., Rize Prov., upper part of Çağlayan (Abu) valley , 1000 m a.s.l., 28 June 1998, coll. AAS ; 18 larvae (ZISP) ex Microtus majori and A. (Sylvaemus) sp., ibidem, 500 m a.s.l., 29 June 1998, coll. AAS.
Hosts. Chionomys gud (Satunin) , Ch. nivalis (Martins) , Microtus daghestanicus (Shidlovsky) , M. majori Thomas , Rattus turkestanicus (Satunin) , Alticola argentatus (Severtzov) , Apodemus agrarius (Pallas) , A. flavicollis (Melchior) , A. ponticus (Sviridenko) , A. uralensis (Pallas) .
Distribution. Russia (Krasnodarskiy Krai, Dagestan, and Tyva Republic), Armenia, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan.
