Ephyriades jamaicensis (Möschler, 1879) View in CoL , reinstated status

Currently treated as a subspecies of Ephyriades brunnea (Herrich-Schäffer, 1865) (type locality Cuba), Achlyodes jamaicensis Möschler, 1879 (type locality Jamaica) is not monophyletic with it and forms a prominent clade of its own ( Fig. 7 View Figure 7 ). The difference in COI barcodes is 3.8% (25 bp) between syntypes of E. brunnea (NVG-15032B07) and A. jamaicensis (NVG-15032B06) in the ZMHB. Hence, we reinstate Ephyriades jamaicensis (Möschler, 1879) as a species.
