Conservation status:— Least Concern ( LC) in Veracruz. Known from seven recent collections made in a pine-oak forest of central Veracruz (not protected) and at the upper slopes of San Martín Tuxtla and Santa Marta volcanoes, which are somewhat protected because they form part of the nuclear zones of the Los Tuxtlas Biosphere Reserve . However, the destruction of their montane rain forest habitat in Veracruz is ongoing due to high anthropogenic pressure, especially in the central region. Specimens examined: 12; TK collections: 7 .
