Carp Headstander; Sardina, Capani, Capaniz, Carpa, Plateada, Plateadita ( Fig. 4E ).

New elevational record (2 m. a.s.l.); previous records of the species in Costa Rican freshwaters were restricted to 12– 100 m.a.s.l. Basis of the record: Four specimens were captured in the Quebrada Honda, Pavones, Golfito, Puntarenas (8.42294, -83.10574), 2 m. a.s.l., on March 30, 2021, by Arturo Angulo, Jorge San Gil, Alejandro Oviedo and Juan Ignacio Abarca.
