Bibloplectus faulknerensis Owens and Carlton View in CoL , new species

( Fig. 4a–d View Figs )

Type Material. Holotype, male: USA. AR. Faulkner Co. Game and Fish Field Trail Demo. Area 10–11 May 1991 C. Carlton / LSAM0002151 View Materials . ( FMNH).

Etymology. The specific epithet refers to Faulkner County, Arkansas, where the type locality is located.

Diagnosis. The combination of the absence of a flange on the metatibia and the presence of a shortened flange and spine on the mesotibia ( Fig. 4c, d View Figs ) distinguishes this species, externally, from all Bibloplectus except B. kylei new species and B. baylessae new species. The form of the aedeagus is distinctive ( Fig. 4a, b View Figs ), with the ventral lobe straight and short (only reaching about threefourths of the aedeagal length), a median lobe with a hooked end, a small lateral process curved distally on the right side, and a short ventral strut.

Mesocoxae contiguous, unmodified, mesotibiae setate apically, bearing well-developed subapical tubercle and associated spine.
