Group stelgidopteryx
Diagnosis. Both sexes. Hysteronotal setae d2, e2 present. Setae c2 spiculiform. Setae sR of trochanters III narrowly lanceolate and always short. DHA present. Male. Opisthosomal lobes long, separated by large semiovate terminal cleft extending almost to level of adanal suckers. Epimerites IVa absent. Paragenital apodemes absent. Translobar apodemes absent. Terminal lamellae widely rounded. Female. Setae f2 present.
Remark. The group currently incorporates 4 species, including 3 described herein; all species are known from the New World. Included species: Trouessartia bochkovi sp. n., T. cryptocaudata sp. n., T. progne sp. n., and T. stelgidopteryx Mironov and Overstreet, 2016 .
