Material examined. CHINA, Ningxia: 1♁, Dashuikeng Village, Yanchi County (37.43°N, 106.97°E), 1530 m, 4.VII.2018, leg. K Lou, slide No. OHJ20891; 1♁, Yanchi County (37.93°N, 107.40°E), 1311 m, 24.Ⅴ.2017, leg. K Lou, slide No. ZML19244; 1♁, Gaoshawo Town, Yanchi County, 1480 m, 24.VIII.2014, leg. Diagnosis. Adult ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1-10 ): Wingspan 17.0 mm. Filatima multicornuta can be recognized superficially by the grayish brown head, thorax and tegulae, the yellowish brown forewing mottled with blackish brown along the costal, the dorsal and the terminal margins, with blackish brown spot at 2/3 of fold, at middle and end of cell respectively ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1-10 ); in the male genitalia by the tegumen narrowly incised from middle of the posterior margin crossing posterior 1/2, the anellus lobe shorter than the sacculus, the sub-rectangular saccus longer than the sacculus, and the phallus two sclerotized lateral extensions of the phallus sheath and two cornuti ( Fig. 25 View FIGURES 21-25 ); in the female genitalia by the sternite eight with a cone-shaped medial sclerite, and the ductus bursae with a sclerotized ribbon posteriorly ( Fig. 32 View FIGURES 31-35 ). This species is similar to F. magnanella sp. nov. in both appearance and genitalia, and the differences are stated in the diagnosis of F. magnanella sp. nov.
According to Bidzilya & Nupponen (2018), F. multicornuta differs from F. ukrainica Piskunov, 1971 by several characteristics. These include a more strongly curved anellus lobe, the absence of a sub-triangular sclerite, as well as differences in the shape and length of the cornuti of the phallus.
Host plant. Caragana korshinskii Kom. (Fabaceae) . Some specimens reared from the larvae feeding on it.
Distribution. China (Ningxia), Mongolia, Russia.
Note. This species is newly recorded in China.
