Remarks. Brachymetopus (Brachymetopus) strzeleckii strzeleckii McCoy 1847 differs from the other Australian subspecies, Br. (Brachymetopus) strzeleckii dunstani Mitchell 1918 , in its cephalic ornament. The nodose ornament of Br. (Brachymetopus) strzeleckii strzeleckii is much smaller and much less sparse from that of Br. (Brachymetopus) strzeleckii dunstani (see below for a discussion about separating the subspecies into two species).
