Vinathela Ono, 2000: 150 . Type species, Heptathela cucphuongensis Ono, 1999 .

Diagnosis. Males of Vinathela differ from those of all other Heptathelinae genera by the conductor with a wide proximal portion, and its distal portion being curved and narrow ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 A–F); females of Vinathela can be distinguished from those of all other Heptathelinae genera by having three or four receptacular clusters, three of the same size with short genital stalks or median pair with short genital stalks and smaller than lateral pair ( Fig. 7 View FIGURE 7 H–K).
