In total, 11 morphotypes are present in the collections examined: eight morphotypes in the DIVA II collection and three in the Ifremer collection. Eight species were represented only by single specimens. The species Makrokylindrus (Adiastylis) renatae , M. (M.) meteorae , M. (A.) duplosetosus , M. (A.) paramonodi and M. (A.) totzkei were all described from the Angola Basin by Mühlenhardt-Siegel (2005e), Leptostylis macrura Sars, 1869 and Diastylis algoae Zimmer, 1908 were described much earlier.
