Literature records at hand encompass only eight genera and eight species at Argentina.
A single profusely illustrated volume giving detailed biologies and full taxonomic treatment was presented by Usinger (1966). It should be available to anyone who anticipates studies in this family. An updated list of the american cimicid species, with distributions, was included in a publication by Ryckman, Bentley and Archbold (1981).
