Type species: Monecphora brunneorubra Lallemand, 1927 (by original designation).
Diagnosis. Postclypeus laterally compressed, medially carinate; rostrum scarcely attaining mesotrochanters; pronotum moderately convex, not carinate medially; posttibiae with two spines laterally, about 11-13 apically. Pygofer with subgenital plates long and narrow, a pair of slender spinose processes directed mesodorsad arising on dorsal margin of subgenital plates; paramere moderately broad, truncate apically, with a short curved tooth at lower angle; aedeagus narrow, simple, porrect dorsocephalad. Ovipositor with first valvulae separating near base with a pair of rather long flattened lobes at base, thick and with their inner edges apposed.
