Note: Use key with caution; at least six undescribed species have been observed occurring in Guatemala and Mexico.

Male with metatibia unmodified, different from protibia ( Figs. 2, 3 View Figs , 32 View Figs ); male ventrite 5 not distinctly emarginate ( Fig. 33 View Figs ), though sometimes medially impressed; size small, length <3.0 mm (pronotum + elytra); Guatemala, Mexico, and Arizona ......................... 2

Male with metatibia modified, curved subapically, similar to protibia ( Fig. 35 View Figs ); male ventrite 5 distinctly emarginate apically ( Figs. 30, 36 View Figs ) and medially impressed; size larger, length> 3.0 mm (pronotum + elytra); Guatemala................................................... 3

2. Male with pro- and mesotibiae modified, curved subapically ( Fig. 32 View Figs ); male pro- and mesotrochanters with spine .... A. subcuprea (Champion)

2′. Male with only protibia modified ( Fig. 11 View Figs ); male with only protrochanter with spine ( Fig. 11 View Figs ) ...... A. arizonensis Mayor and Gimmel , new species
