Genus Rupisalda J. Polhemus, 1985 View in CoL
Discussion. — Species in the genus Rupisalda were transferred from Saldula by J. Polhemus (1985), and may be recognised on the basis of a the strongly raised callus on the pronotum set off by a row of pits, the forewing membrane bearing four cells of approximately equal length, and the simple structure of the hypocostal ridge (compare Figs. 12–14 View Figs ). They also preferentially inhabit rheocrenes and spray-wetted bedrock faces adjacent to waterfalls, rather than the horizontal littoral habitats preferred by Saldula species.
