Type. India: Sikkim, Holotype male ( SMTD).
Diagnosis. Robust; 6.4 mm (n = 1) in length; 3.5 mm (n = 1) in width; derm fuscopiceous; rostrum longer than half body length; antennal club not as long as funicular segments 4–7 combined, segment 2 of funiculus as long as 1; pronotum clothed with narrow, elongate, fuscous scales; mesosternal intercoxal process prominent; scutellum smallsized to medium, longer than broad, with median vitta of white scales; elytra convex in lateral view, striae deep, with white and fuscous scales, intervals broad clothed with fuscous and scattered aggregations of white scales, humeri prominent, rounded; pro and mesofemoral teeth small, hind femur with slightly larger small tooth, hind femur with feeble proximolateral sulcus; abdominal sternite 1 not as long as 2 behind coxal cavity. Genitalia: Not dissected.
Distribution. China: Sichuan Province, Emei Shan, 800–1,000 m; India: Sikkim.
Remarks. Appears similar to C. helleri n. sp. in general form with somewhat convex elytra in lateral view, but darker in color.
