Type. Japan: Holotype male, B. maculanigra (INSB) .
Diagnosis. Oval; 5.5–6.0 mm (mean = 5.75, n = 2) in length; 2.7–3.0 mm (mean = 2.85, n = 2) in width; derm fuscous; scape as long as funicular segments 4–7; disc of prothorax slightly convex in lateral view, with square, basocentral, fuscous macula proximal to scutellum, anterior to fuscous macula with white, barshaped, macula; mesosternal intercoxal process not prominent; elytra with midcentral, fuscous to piceous macula on interval 1 distad of scutellum to midpoint with an arrowshaped white macula, arrowhead pointing distally; basal half of elytra with scattered, white, macula, and white apical macula; hind femoral tooth largesized. Distribution. Japan; China: Fujian Province.
Remarks. This species resembles Curculio marioi n. sp. Pelsue and Zhang (2000 b), but differs in length of hind femur not exceeding apex of abdomen, and male genitalia, with truncate apex and broader in lateral view than C. marioi .
