Note: The Wayana people have named this species that they find in the Paru Rio (Pará, Brazil). In Wayãpi, pilau is the oral name given traditionally and tolosi is a name borrowed from the Creole of Oyapock because of their acquaintance with the fish through the lower Oyapock.
