Type Locality: "Er wohnt in Labrador und um die Hudsonsbay," restricted by Long (1972 a), to "Carman, Manitoba." [ Canada] .

Distribution: Canada (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatschewan, Manitoba, Ontario), Mexico (Baja California N and C Mexico), USA (Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, and most states west of the Mississippi River, except Louisiana, Arkansas).

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
