Type Locality: Indonesia, Sumatra, Mt. Singalang.

Vernacular Names: Beccari's Shrew.

Synonyms: Crocidura weberi Jentink in Weber 1890 .

Distribution: Mountain ranges in N and W Sumatra.

Conservation: IUCN – Endangered.

Discussion: Revised by Ruedi (1995). Karyotype has 2n = 38, FN = 56 ( Ruedi and Vogel, 1995).
