Esagonatopus antonioi Martins sp. nov. ( Figs 1 View FIGURES 1–5 –6)

Diagnosis. Female with head slightly excavated (almost flat), granulate. Frontal line complete; mesosoma reticulate rugose; scutum without lateral pointed apophyses. Metapectal-propodeal complex reticulate rugose, not striate transversely.

Description. ♀ holotype. Apterous; length 3.9 mm ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Head black, except anterior region of face, clypeus, mandible and part of ventral side testaceous; antenna testaceous, except antennomeres 1 and 10 yellow-testaceous ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 ); pronotum black, except lateral margins testaceous ( Figs 2 – 3 View FIGURES 1–5 ); other parts of mesosoma black ( Figs 3 – 4 View FIGURES 1–5 ); legs black, except trochanters, tibiae and tarsi testaceous; metasoma black. Antenna clavate; antennomeres in following proportions: 17: 7: 23: 15: 13: 13: 10: 10: 8: 12. Head dorsally almost flat, slightly excavated, granulate; frontal line complete ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–5 ), faint near median ocellus and clypeus; occipital carina absent; POL = 2; OL = 3; OOL = 10 ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Palpal formula 6/2. Gena in part unsculptured and in part granulate. Pronotum dull, sculptured by many subparallel longitudinal striae, with lateral regions partly rugose, crossed by strong transverse furrow. Scutum reticulate rugose, without lateral pointed apophyses. Scutellum rugose, dull, hardly visible among rugosities. Metanotum rugose, dull, not excavated behind scutellum, sloping anteriorly. Meso-metapleural suture obsolete ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Metapectal-propodeal complex dull, completely reticulate rugose ( Figs 3 – 4 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Mesopleuron and metapleuron reticulate rugose. Metasoma with broad bands of hairs at posterior margin of each tergite ( Fig. 1 View FIGURES 1–5 ). Protarsomere in following proportions: 18: 4: 6: 22: 48. Enlarged claw ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ) with one small subapical tooth and one row of nine peg-like setae. Tarsomere 5 of protarsus ( Fig. 5 View FIGURES 1–5 ) with two rows of 30 lamellae; distal apex with at least 35 lamellae. Rudimentary claw present. Tibial spurs 1/0/1.
