Names.

Myanmar: taw-pilaw. English: threelobe false mallow.

Range.

Tropical regions in both Old and New Worlds. In Myanmar, found in Kachin and Sagaing.

Uses.

Whole plant: Used as an expectorant and emollient.

Note.

In India the leaf is used as a salve to both cool and heal inflamed wounds and sores; the flower is used as a diaphoretic and pectoral ( Jain and DeFilipps 1991).
