Diagnosis
Forewing length 21 mm. The species is similar to S. coniata , but can be separated by the following characters: forewing upperside cell spots separated, subequal; spot in space CuA1 rather narrow; without a linear stigma in male.
Male genitalia ( Figs. 48−52 View FIGURES 48 − 52 ): Tegumen without socius; valva nearly rectangular, ventrodistal process equal to about half length of valva, with upper margin straight and armed with spines, dorsobasal process very long, thin and sharp spine; aedeagus with suprazonal sheath slightly shorter than subzonal sheath; juxta Ushaped with two densely spined arms.
Material examined
23, Changhua, Lingan, Zhejiang, 16.VI.2007.
Distribution.
China (Zhejiang).
Remarks
The species had been treated as a subspecies of coniata until Devyatkin (2004) revised the group and upgraded it to species status based on genitalic features. The shape of the valva and its dorsobasal process are quite distinct from related species.
