Chitona sieversi Kiesenwetter, 1878 ; Dolichopyga sieversi (Kiesenwetter, 1878) .

Distribution in Iran. West Azarbaijan ( Švihla 1983 as D. sieversi ). General distribution. Armenia, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkey ( Švihla 2006a, 2008a). Chorotype. SW-Asiatic.

Comments. Švihla (1983) recorded it from Maku (West Azarbaijan province); however, in their revision of Chitona species ( Švihla 2006a) and in the catalogue of Palaearctic Coleoptera ( Švihla 2008a) do not record it from Iran.
