Report as epibiont on bryozoans: The species was originally described from marine bryozoans collected in the North Sea near Sartoröe, Norwey ( Claparède & Lachmann 1858); on bryozoan Bugula sp. from the Gabriola Island coast ( Wailes 1943).

Report as epibiont on other hosts: This species was also reported as epibiont on Ceramium sp. and some other species of marine algae collected at the same locality of Norway ( Claparède & Lachmann 1858).
