TYPE GENUS. — Sibyrhynchus Zangerl & Case, 1973 .

INCLUDED GENERA. — Sibyrhynchus , Iniopera Zangerl & Case, 1973 , Inioxyele Zangerl & Case, 1973 .

ETYMOLOGY. — From sibyne (= hunting spear) and rhynchos (= snout).

DIAGNOSIS. — Th e Sibyrhynchidae are holostylic Iniopterygia in which the labio-lingual tooth rows (tooth families) are basally fused to form tooth whorls of different size and shape.
