Material examined. BATANG HARI DRAINAGE: CMK 4727 (1), 189.2 mm SL. ZMA 121.819 (1), 216.6 mm SL. ZRC 38981 (2), 158.1, 379.0 mm SL. ZRC 41531 (4), 340.0± 420.0 mm SL. ZRC 41896 (1), 196.0 mm SL.

SIAK DRAINAGE: USNM 93287 (1), 356.0 mm SL.

Remarks. Crabs ( Neorhynchoplax prima Ng and Chuang, 1996 ; family Hymenosomatidae ), isopods, insect remains and remains of a small ®sh were found in the stomach of one specimen dissected. Nothing else is known about the biology of this species.
