Arius venosus: Kottelat et al., 1993: 80 View in CoL , pl. 39.
Remarks. Bagrus sumatranus was tentatively synonymized with A. venosus by Weber and de Beaufort (1913). The exact locality from which the holotype of B. sumatranus was obtained and its exact identity have not been fully ascertained. Pending a detailed study of the type(s), we tentatively follow Weber and de Beaufort’s synonymy and include this species in the record.
