Note: Alyssum campestre L., Sp. Pl. , ed. 2, 2: 909 (1763) is evidently not the same taxon as A. campestre (L.) L. (1759) , and this has caused confusion, leading to " A. campestre " being informally rejected as ambiguous by some authors (e.g. Turrill in J. Bot. 73: 261. 1935; Botschantzev in Novosti Sist. Vyssh. Rast. 15: 150-151. 1985).
