MATERIAL: One specimen. Non­type. Female?, Nr. 461 ( GPUH) labeled: ‘‘Nr. 461 (Scheele), Apis meliponoides Buttel­Reepen = Electrapis meliponoides (Buttel­Reepen) ’’ // ‘‘ Electrapis sp. indet., det. M. S. Engel’’.

COMMENTS: This specimen was identified by Zeuner and Manning (1976) as belonging to E. meliponoides but the individual is entirely covered by fractures, Schimmel, and pyrite and such an indentification cannot actually be made. The size of the specimen is about that of E. meliponoides .
