8. Stillingia lineata var. intermedia Müller Argoviensis (1866: 1157) . Lectotype (here designated):— MAURITIUS. Province unknown: in insula Mauritii, 1825, F. W. Sieber, Fl. Maurit. II. no. 183 (G-DC 00319724!, isolectotypes BM! 2 sheets, G 00386184!, K 000425770!, L! 3 sheets, fragment NY!, P 04804135!). Remaining syntypes:— RÉUNION. Ile Bourbon: ravigne de la montagne St. Denis à la hauteur de la vigne, 1846–1852, L. H. Boivin 1388 (G 809399!, K!, [negatives in K 17175 and 17176 ex P], P 00180673!, P 00539555!, P 00539556!, TCD 0000586!); L. Bouton s.n. (not located). [= Stillingia lineata ( Lamarck 1788: 734) Müller Argoviensis (1866: 1157) ].
Stillingia lineata var. intermedia was published by Müller Argoviensis (1866) based on several syntypes, “ In insula Mauritii (Sieb. hb: flor. Maurit. n. 183! Bouton! Boivin n. 1388!)”. The Sieber specimen deposited in G was selected as the lectotype because it is complete and best conserved, and also because this is the institution where Müller Argoviensis worked.
