Description of Massilia timonae View in CoL JMn9
Cells are gram-staining-negative, flagellated, and rod-shaped. Colonies are circular, smooth, flat, entire, and pale yellow-colored after three days of incubation at 25℃ on R2A. Positive for esculin hydrolysis and urease, gelatinase, and β -galactosidase activity. Negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, glucose fermentation, and arginine dihydrolase activity. Utilizes L- Arabinose, D- mannose, D- maltose, malic acid, and trisodium citrate. Does not utilize D- glucose, D- mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, potassium gluconate, capric acid, adipic acid, and phenylacetic acid. Strain JMn9 (= VYWGBAC000000143) was isolated from a tidal flat sample, Suncheon, Korea.
