Characterization. Shell to 14 mm and 8.5 whorls. Protoconch dome-shaped, 2.2–2.3 whorls. Teleoconch whorl outline slightly convex, with many sharp, narrow, curved axial ribs, 19 on penultimate whorl. Subsutural band defined by groove crossing axial ribs. Spiral cords distinct, crossing axial ribs, occurring on subsutural band as well as remainder of whorl, 13 on penultimate whorl. Columella recurved.

Distribution. From the Gulf of Oman to the Fiji Is. ( Bratcher & Cernohorsky, 1987). Tropical Indo-West Pacific, subtidal to 50 m, sand bottom ( Tsuchida, 2000). Philippines, subtidally in sand ( Terryn, 2007).
