Description.
The genus forms small spheric, fingerlike or incrusting colonies. The corallites are circular and very regular. The septa are short. The coenosteum appears cellular with very fine pores and tiny spines, or is rarely vermiculate.
Remarks.
As explained in Hernández Morales and Löser (2018), the genus Polytremacis is a junior synonym of the extant genus Heliopora . The corallite dimensions of the species of the study area are compared in Table 1 View Table 1 .
