Diagnosis. Body medium-sized, above 8 mm. Elytra not fused along suture, with parascutellar strioles long or slightly shortened; basal parascutellar pores usually present, more rarely absent; preapical sinuations of elytra comparatively shallow or moderately deep. Metepisterna longer than wide or approximately as long as wide, markedly narrowed posteriad. Tergite VII (last visible) of female rounded at apex. Metacoxae without additional posteromedial setigerous pores. Median lobe of aedeagus with a flat, triangular terminal lamella, and usually with a very small inclined dorsad apical capitulum.
