Type material. Holotype: CNU-HET-MA2018002 ( Key Lab of Inset Evolution and Environmental Changes , College of Life Science, Capital Normal University, Beijing, China), a female preserved in flaky faint yellow amber; specimen in good condition, with complete body except for missing rostrum, characters of right side of head unseen due to some organic debris; accessible views: dorsal and ventral.

Diagnosis. Antennae five-segmented, second minute. Pronotal calli with small setigerous punctures; corium nearly as long as the membranous area. R+M separated from C+Sc at 1/5 of corium, anterior margin of forewing angulated. Seventh sterna with longer hair-like setae laterally.

Description. Body small, elongated oval, almost paralleled, flattened dorsal-ventrally, dorsum of posterior margin of pronotum slightly convex ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ). Head, dorsum of thorax, scutellum and anterior margin of corium covered with setae.

Head dorsally with small punctures, deflexed, wider than long, shorter than pronotum; clypeus distinctly longer than paraclypei, its dorsal side with 4 peg-like setae; paraclypei bearing 6 peg-like setae (5 clearly seen, 1 closely next to anterior margin of eyes), 1 hair-like setae ( Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 ); rostrum arising from apex of head; eyes large, semicircular; ocelli developed, subround, ocular index 4.8, ocelli closer to each other than to eyes; antennae five segmented, with dense hair-like setae, subequal in length to head and pronotum combined, first subspherical, second segment shortest, third more than 5 times as long as the second, fourth and fifth segment fusiform, fifth longest.

Pronotum trapezoidal, transverse, convex upwards, with dense setigerous punctures without collar; anterior margin concave in middle, anterior angles bulging forward, forming a distinct arc, posterior margin convex medially, with eight to nine hair-like setae laterally; calli large, with setigerous punctures, posterior margin with larger punctures, mesosternum and metasternum possessing a distinct keel, evaporatorium on mesopleuron less extensive than on metapleuron, covering most of metapleuron, very large, with mycoid micro sculpture, not reaching lateral and posterior margin, peritreme curved posterolaterally ( Fig. 4D, I View FIGURE 4 ), metapleuron neighboring to posterior margin of evaporatorium carinate. Scutellum triangular, as wide as long, shorter than pronotum, with large punctures, lateral margin slightly concave, with larger punctures, tip narrowed; forewing reduced leaving posterior abdominal segments exposed, with sparse hair-like setae, corium about half length of whole wing, membranal suture emarginated, dented closer to clavus; clavus narrow, with 3 rows of distinct punctures along claval suture; claval commissure present, about 1/2 of length of scutellum; R+M separated from C+Sc at 1/5 of corium, anterior margin of forewing angulated, with setae, membrane subtransparent, without veins, distinctly surpassing tip of abdomen. Coxae of middle and fore legs more distant from each other than coxae of middle and hind legs, anterior coxal combs composed of scale-like blunt setae ( Fig. 4C View FIGURE 4 ); femora and tibia with dense hair-like setae, femora stout, spine on femora invisible, fore and mid femora nearly as long as corresponding tibiae, hind femora distinctly longer than hind tibiae; fore tibiae flattened, broadened apically, with four to five spines at apical margin, lateral margin with both stout and relatively shorter spines, internal margin with hardly spines; apex of tibiae distinctly swollen, lateral margin with at least eight strong spines, internal margin hardly any spines; mid tibiae flattened, distinctly thicker apically but narrower than fore tibiae, with 6 strong spines in its apex, lateral margin with at least six strong spines, internal margin hardly any spines; hind tibiae relatively slender and thinner, with eight strong spins apically, lateral margin with eight strong spines, internal margin hardly any spines ( Fig. 4E, F, G View FIGURE 4 ); tarsus three-segmented, tarsomeres equal in thickness, second shortest, first almost as long as third; pretarsal claws elongated, pulvilli narrowed, capitate apically, as long as claws ( Fig. 4H View FIGURE 4 ).

Abdomen broader than thorax, third to seventh sternum with abundant setigerous punctures, laterally more dense than in the middle, seventh sterna laterally with hair-like setae longer than those on third to seventh sternum; ovipositor platelike ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ).

Etymology. The species name is derived from the Latin word “ triplosticha ”, indicating the species with 3 rows of coarse punctures in clavus. Gender feminine.
