Material examined. COLOMBIA, Cundinamarca, Tena, Laguna de Pedro Palo, 16 VI 1991, 1 male brac, 1 female brac D. N. Padilla, leg. (PSO-CZ).
Brachypterous male BL 11.86; Ant, I–IV: 0.50, 1.00, 2.20, 0.92; AO /PO 2.00; LA 4.60. Brac female BL 16.13; Ant, I–IV: 0.50, 0.90, 2.16, 1.06; AO /PO 2.00; LA 8.13.
Diagnosis. Clypeus with tip rounded and translucid ( Fig. 2); male abdominal sternite VI with a pair of median spines near anterior margin ( Fig. 3 View FIGURE 3 ); female with abdominal tergite VIII with posterior margin prolonged in a spine.
Distribution in Colombia ( Fig. 1 View FIGURE 1 ): Antioquia: La Unión, 2500 m (and). Cundinamarca: Tena, Laguna de Pedro Palo, 2000 m (and). Meta: Puerto López, 365 m (ori).
Distribution in America: Panama, Colombia, Venezuela, Trinidad & Tobago, Ecuador, Suriname, Brazil, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Paraguay, Argentina , and Uruguay.

Brachypterous female BL 18.2; Ant, I–IV: 0.76, 1.76, 6.13, 2.20; AO /PO 2.28; LA 7.20
Diagnosis. Clypeus with a blunt medial projection ( Fig. 4); male abdominal sternite VI with a pair of U-shaped ridges bearing short setae on middle of the segment.
