Beanoides Pellinen gen. nov
( Fig.s 4 View FIGURE 4 a–c and 5 a–d)
Type species: Beana nitida Tams, 1924 .
Currently Beanoides is a monotypic genus, including B. nitida only. It belongs to Chloephorinae , best placed close to genus Ariolica Walker 1864 . Externally Beanoides is different from Ariolicini species, but male genitalia have similarities; apical form of valva, exterior basal hair-pencil (not strong in Beanoides ) in valves, aedeagus vesica with several small spines also tymbal organ is not present in the basal sternal sclerite, though there are other features that connect Beanoides to Ariolica like the narrow basal sternal sclerite with somewhat longer and narrower apodemes on either side of a generally concave margin.
Diagnosis and Description. The new genus resembles Beana terminigera ( Fig.s 4 View FIGURE 4 d–f and 5 e–h) externally by size (wingspan ~ 34–35 mm), although it is more variable in the forewing pattern. There is no clear sexual dimorphism in Beanoides nitida .
