Distribution: India, Nepal, Burma, Sri Lanka, S China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Peninsular Malaysia; Borneo, Sumatra, Java, and Bali ( Indonesia).
Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: trifoliatus species group. Includes lanosus ; see Ellerman and Morrison-Scott (1951). Does not include beddomei ; see Topál and Csorba (1992) and Bates and Harrison (1997). Does not include formosae ; see Yoshiyuki and Harada (1995) and Csorba et al. (2003).
