Diagnosis. Male genitalia (see Janse (1954, Pl. 161, Fig. 6 View FIGURE 6 - line drawing; Pl. 172, Fig. 4 View FIGURE 4 - photo). Characterized by having a slender, needle-like process at base of the valva ventrally and the aedeagus with a pair of strong spines: a larger one about half the length of the aedeagus and a smaller one much shorter than half the length of the longer one.
Material examined. Type no. 575, ♂ (holotype), [ Zimbabwe], Rhodesia, Salisbury [Harare], xii, leg. A.J.T. Janse, gen. slide no. 5262.
Distribution. DR Congo ( Ghesquière 1940), Zimbabwe ( Meyrick 1921).
