Type material. Holotype male: Brazil, BA [Bahia], Santa Terezinha, Serra da Jibóia , 27.VII.2009, Menezes et al. colls., [in bromeliad], ( MZFS).
Etymology. The species is named after the gonostylus which shows three branches.
Diagnosis. Eye bridge with three rows of facets; eyes separated by 3 facet diameters; internal arm of gonostylus without small apical stripes; external arm of gonostylus with long basal lobe, digitiform; aedeagus almost the same width along the length, apex rounded apically with pointed apex upward; ejaculatory apodeme wider than aedeagus, with oval format.
Description. Male. Head ( Figs. 7A, B, C View FIGURE 7 ): wider than long, 1.2 times wider than long; eye bridge with three facet rows; eyes separated by 4 facet diameter; clypeal patch of alveoli subrectangular; epipharynx with 10 small spiniform setae at distal end; antenna with scape 2.5 times the length of pedicel; palpus formula: 1.0:2.7:2.7:4.7. Wing ( Fig. 7D View FIGURE 7 ): medial fork at the same level of radial fork. Terminalia ( Fig. 7E, F, G View FIGURE 7 ): gonocoxal apodeme plate-like, narrower than ejaculatory apodeme; internal arm of gonostylus without small apical stripes; external arm of gonostylus with long, basal external lobe, digitiform; hypopod with one row of big alveoli; aedeagus almost the same width along the length, apex rounded apically with pointed apex upward; ejaculatory apodeme oval approximately 1.2 times the length of aedeagus, with approximately 2.7 wider than aedeagus.
