( Fig. 31 View FIGURE 31 )
Material examined. Holotype female, Kenya, from a coffee farm, Taita Hills , November 2005 (H. Mugo).
Female: Dorsal shield smooth, 420 long, 240 wide, with seven pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 48, j3 54, j4 4, j5, j6, J2 12, J5 7, z2 26, z4 41, z5 5, Z1 9, Z4 173, Z5 290, s4155, S2, S4, S5 12, r316, R1 8, JV5 103. Seta Z 5 slightly serrated. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 78 , St II-St II 78 , St IV on small platelets. Genital shield smooth, 96 wide. Ventri-anal shield longer than wide, 142 long, 95 wide with a pair of crescentic pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, five pairs of small round platelets, two pairs of thin sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with ten teeth, movable digit with four teeth. Spermatheca calyx short, 22 long, constricted midway and flared distally towards vesicle. Macrosetae pointed distally, Sge II 46 , Sge III 62 , Sti III 46 , Sge IV 138 , Sti 1V 98, St IV 100 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Remarks. This species is similar to A. italicus Chant , but the presence of ZV2 on the ventri-anal shield and the much longer Z4 separates these species. The male is unknown.
