Material examined. Kenya, 1 female, Nyahururu (Thompson Falls), altitude 2500 m, May 6, 2006 (El-Banhawy) .
Female: Dorsal shield smooth, 385 long, 220 wide. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 29, j3 53, j4, j5, j6, J2, J5, 6–9, z2, z4 10, z5 6, Z1 5, Z4 122, Z5 255, s4 83, S2, S4, S5 7, r3, R1 10, JV5 83. Setae Z 4, Z5, serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 67 , St II-St II 74 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 90 wide. Ventri-anal shield 127 long, 92 wide at level of ZV2, 76 wide at level of anus, with a pair of large elliptical pre-anal pores posterior to JV2 and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with 14 teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx cup shaped, 7 long, 9 wide distally, atrium small, major duct prominent. Macrosetae, Sge II 39 , Sge III 65 , Sti III 35 , Sge IV 130 , Sti IV 110 , St IV 80 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.
Remarks. The female holotype was collected from Malindi, Kenya, 11 December 1989, J. S. Yaninek ( Zannou et al., 2007). The male is unknown. It has also been collected from Coast Province, 12 December 1989 (J. S. Yaninek).
