Material examined. Kenya, 8 females, Lake Naivasha , altitude 1765 m, May 6 2006 ; 2 females, Nyahururu ( Thompson Falls ), altitude 2500 m, May 6 2006 ; 2 females, Taita Hills , altitude 1630 m, July 2, 2006 ; 3 females, Kakamega rain forest, altitude 1600 m, July 22, 2007 ( El-Banhawy ) .

Female: Dorsal shield striated, slightly sculptured anteriorly, 330 long, 190 wide, with five pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 32, j3 38, j4, j5 14, j6 18, J2 20, J5 7, z2 18, z4 35, z5 14, Z1 25, Z4 44, Z5 70, s4 48, S2 40, S4 18, S5 10, r3 25, R1 14, JV5 58. Setae Z 4, Z5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, with posterior lobe, distances between St I-St III 62 , St II-St II 62 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 83 wide. Ventri-anal shield constricted laterally, 105 long, 62 wide, with a pair of elliptical pre-anal pores slightly posterior to JV2 and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). A pair of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with eight teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx base bulbus, 18 long, followed by narrow neck, gradually flared distally, atrium nodular, 3 long. Macrosetae blunt, Sge II 25 , Sge III 25 , Sge IV 50 , Sti IV 30 , St IV 76 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Remarks. The female holotype was collected at Mt. Moyo, DRC, May 5, 1955, E. W. Baker ( Pritchard & Baker, 1962). The male is unknown. This species has been collected from Cameroon, Kenya and Uganda.
