( Fig. 21 View FIGURE 21 )

Material examined. Holotype female, Kakamega rain forest, altitude 1600 m, Kenya, July 5, 2006 (El-Banhawy); 1 paratype female, Mt. Elgon , altitude 2425 m, February 15, 2005 (El-Banhawy).

Female: Dorsal shield with lateral striations, 265 long, 170 wide (L/W ratio 1.6: 1). Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 16, j3 25, j4, j5 7, j6, J2 9, J5 5, z2 14, z4 23, z5 7, Z112, Z4 46, Z5 60, s4 32, S2 10, S4, S5 7, r3 20, R1 7, JV5 37. Setae Z 4 and Z5 stout and serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 58 , St II-St II 55 , St IV on small platelets. Genital shield 70 wide. Ventri-anal shield smooth, triangular, 101 long, 73 wide across level of ZV2, 65 across level of anus, with a pair of large elliptical pre-anal pores close to each other and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with seven teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx dish shaped, atrium small and not differentiated, major duct broad. Macrosetae Sge II 23 , Sge III 23 , Sge IV 37 , Sti IV 38 , St IV 64 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Remarks. This species is similar to T. culmulus except z2, z4 almost as long as distance between their bases and the setae next behind, Z4 much longer, ventri-anal shield triangular, and pre-anal pores are closely associated. The male is unknown
