Material examined. Kenya, one female, from coffee trees, Muranga, altitude 1650 m, June 10, 2005 (H. Mugo) ; 16 females, Taita hills, Coast province , altitude 1600 m, July 2, 2006 (El-Banhawy) ; 2 females, Kakamega rain forest, altitude 1600 m, July 24, 2006 (El-Banhawy) .

Female: Dorsal shield reticulated, 335 long, 220 wide (L/W ratio 1.5: 1) with seven pairs of pores. Measurements of dorsal setae: j1 14, j3 18, j4, j5 6, j6 7, J2 10, J5 9, z2 9, z4 10, z5 7, Z1 12, Z4 24, Z5 60, s4 14, S2, S4 12, S5 8, r3 14, R1 12, JV5 32. Setae Z 4 andZ5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 55 , St II-St II 60 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 73 wide. Ventri-anal shield pentagonal, smooth, 110 long, 78 wide, with a pair of crescentic large pre-anal pores, mesad to JV2 and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites, and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with nine teeth, movable digit with five teeth. Spermatheca calyx shallow dish shaped, 13 long, 9 wide, atrium kidney shaped, 3 long, major duct long and slender. Macrosetae slightly longer than other setae on Sge II 21 , Sge III 25 , Sge IV 40 , sharp on Sti III 25 , Sti IV 37 , St IV 46 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/ 0, 1.

Male: Chaetotaxy of dorsal shield as in female. Ventri-anal shield anteriorly striated, 115 long, 150 wide, with a pair of crescentic pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae. Spermatodactyl, U-shaped, shaft 18 long.

Remarks. The female holotype was collected at Stanleyville, DRC, April 20, 1955 ( Pritchard & Baker, 1962) and the male paratype at Mulunga, DRC, May 18, 1955 (E. W. Baker). It has also been recorded from Angola, Benin, Ghana, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria and Sierra Leone ( Moraes et al., 2007b).
