Type species: Amblyseius bellottii Moraes & Mesa, 1988
Diagnosis. The ratio setae s4: Z1> 3: 1 and the ratio seta s4: S2 <2.7: 1; fixed digit of chelicera multidentate; macrosetae on legs II and III and sometimes I in addition to leg IV. Setae z2, z4, S4, S5 and the dorsocentral setae are short, and setae Z5 and usually Z4 and s4 more prominent (Chant & McMurtry, 2 004).
