Material examined. Holotype female, Kenya, Nyahururu (Thompson Falls), altitude 2500 m May 5, 2006 (El- Banhawy).

Female: Dorsal shield smooth, 350 long, 195 wide, with six pairs of large pores. Measurements of dorsal setae, j1 24, j3 39, j4 12, j5 7, j6 9, J2 9, J5 9, z2 21, z4, z5, Z1 12, Z4 48, Z5 74, s4 50, S2 23, S4, S5 12, r3, R1 20, JV5 55. Setae Z 4, Z5 serrated, remaining setae smooth. Peritrematal shield fused anteriorly with dorsal shield, reaching level of j1. Sternal shield smooth, distances between St I-St III 70 , St II-St II 74 , St IV on platelets. Genital shield 78 wide. Ventri-anal shield smooth, 110 long, 97 wide (L/W ratio1.1: 1) with a pair of small round, pre-anal pores and three pairs of pre-anal setae (JV1, JV2, ZV2). Two pairs of metapodal platelets, two pairs of sigillar sclerites and four pairs of setae surrounding ventri-anal shield. Fixed digit of chelicera with four teeth, movable digit with three teeth. Spermatheca calyx saccular, 16 long, 5 wide, atrium small. Macrosetae, Sge II 35 , Sge III 35 , Sge IV 52 , Sti IV 48 , St IV 76 . Chaetotaxy : genu II 2 , 2 / 0, 2/0, 1, genu III 1 , 2 /1, 2/0, 1.

Remarks. This species is similar to T. namuriensis (Fain et al.) and T. morii (Ehara) . Details of spermatheca, ventri-anal shield and shape and position of pre-anal pores separate it from the latter two species. The male is unknown.
